North Korea has launched its largest ICBM successfully
While the war in Europe is raging, disturbing news has come out of North Korea. The highly militaristic autocratic dystopia has been extensively testing a wide range of weaponry and missiles since the very beginning of this year. This most recent test, however, is their most concerning one thus far.
In 2020, at a military parade in Pyongyang, the ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) Hwasong-17 was first unveiled. Its absolutely colossal size was unprecedented, shocking even the most seasoned analysts.

The last time the DPRK tested an ICBM was in 2017, for which it got severely sanctioned.
Last Tuesday, however, it was announced that North Korea had successfully launched the Hwasong-17 in a test. This is the largest ICBM ever tested by Kim’s regime. It would be capable of reaching almost any point on the globe.

This is a significant escalation of tensions in Eastern Asia, which comes during one of the most volatile moments during the 21st century.
After the launch, Kim Jong-un was quoted by state media that the country is preparing for a prolonged confrontation with US imperialism.
