Boyko Borisov has been released from custody

Boyko Borisov has been released from police custody, as the EU corruption investigation continues.

Borisov was detained on the 17th of March, along with several other GERB party members, in probes related to misuses of EU aid funds.

Prosecutors have yet to comment on the outcome of his detention. It is highly probable that this case will take months, and it will be transferred entirely to the EU’s anti-corruption apparatus.
