8 people have fallen victim to COVID-19 in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours

New cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria are becoming rarer and rarer, the number is hospitalized patients is dwindling, and fatal cases are exceedingly rare. This also has had an impact on the number of people, willing to get vaccinated.


Currently, there are more than 189 000 active cases in the country, while there have been around 1 133 000 total confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic. In total, there have been around 4 345 000 vaccines administered.



Out of 4 063 PCR tests conducted, 362 have been positive, which adds up to around 8.9% of the tested.


Currently hospitalized are a total of 2 059 people, out of which 242 are in intensive care.


8 have succumbed to the illness, while 424 people have recovered.


201 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
