124 people have become victim of COVID-19 in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours

Cases are rising daily, and the casualty count is increasing drastically as well. Bulgaria is going deeper into the red zone. New restrictions are gradually being implemented, while in some cities there is a shortage of hospital beds in intensive care and in infection diseases centers.


Out of 22 264 PCR tests conducted, 4 957 have been positive, which adds up to around 22% of the tested.


Currently hospitalized are a total of 6 377 people.


558 patients have been admitted to intensive care, while 124 have succumbed to the illness.


2 743 people have recovered.


9 097 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
