107 people have become victim of COVID-19 in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours

Cases are rising daily, and the casualty count is increasing drastically as well. Bulgaria is going deeper into the red zone. New restrictions are gradually being implemented, while in some cities there is a shortage of hospital beds in intensive care and in infection diseases centers. Green passes are now mandatory, only excluding places, such as stores, pharmacies, and administrative buildings. Schools are switching to online education; universities will only permit students with a green pass.


Out of 25 040 PCR tests conducted, 4 522 have been positive, which adds up to around 18% of the tested.


Currently hospitalized are a total of 6 494 people.


567 patients have been admitted to intensive care, while 107 have succumbed to the illness.


970 people have recovered.


13 484 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
